Oota Whitefield, the swanky new specialty restaurant right above Windmills Craftworks in Whitefield, is all about serving you Karnataka on a platter. In what is apparently a rotating menu, the restaurant has brought together popular dishes from South Karnataka, Mangalore, the Canara coast, the Western Ghats, the Deccan tract of North Karnataka and the borderlands of the Hyderabad-Karnataka region in a perfectly curated selection for patrons to relish for lunch and dinner.
Starting with Golibaje, Mangalore Buns, the famed Chicken Ghee Roast and Maddur Vade in starters to salads such as North Karnataka-inspired Menthya Pachadi (fenugreek salad) and Pork Salad of Coastal Karnataka as well as Nati Koli Pulimuncho (country chicken in tamarind gravy) of Coastal Karnataka, Kumbala Curry of Coorg and Malnad and Mutton Rassa of North Karnataka in the mains. Pandi Curry of Coorg is prominently present in the menu as well.
South Indian staples such as Ragi Mudde, Akki Roti, and Neer Dosa round up the rest of the menu along with some desserts such as Elaneer Payasa (tender coconut kheer) of Coastal Karnataka.
